Introduction\rGRADE16\rLOCATION OF POSITIONCharles County Department of Health\rLocal Behavioral Health Authority Division\r4545 Crain Highway\rWhite Plains, MD 20695\rMain Purpose of JobThe main purpose of this position is to provide coordination and supervision for all harm reduction activities for the Charles County Overdose Intervention Team (OIT). This includes but is not limited to planning, developing, and monitoring the implementation of public education, prevention and early intervention, and harm reduction strategies that address the needs of Charles County residents in response to the\ropiate crisis. As team lead, this position will serve as the primary point of contact for OIT\rcollaboration efforts with the community and agency stakeholders, ensuring a unified\rapproach in the development and implementation of Charles County strategies across\ragencies and targeted populations. This position will collaborate with the CCHD and OIT to\ridentify funding opportunities to expand access to resources and implement innovative\rapproaches to prevention, early intervention, and harm reduction initiatives.\rMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \rExperience: Three years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources. \rNotes: \r1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. \r2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education. \rSELECTION PROCESSApplicants who meet the minimum (and selective) qualifications will be included in further evaluation.
