We are looking for a Product Designer 2 to join our diverse and close-knit team. We design for a rapid growth, cutting-edge business that understands and values your work and sees user experience, customer experience, and service design as key strategic priorities. Your design passion will make an immediate impact within the Identity Division at Microsoft and influence a lasting impact on our customer experience. Responsibilities

Deliver world-class design solutions from initial concept through finished productIncorporate system and framework thinking and pattern-matching into solutions to reinforce integrity of design system and product cohesionProvide insightful perspectivesand ideas that will help shape the direction of company-wide investments in the identity space.Work closely and constructively with product management, content designers, user researchers, engineers and other designers to iterate and deliver design artifacts and solutions.Advocate for thecustomerand champion industry-leading, inclusive,and human-centereddesign practices.Advocate for your design solutions by putting them in context of business, user goals, and ecosystem considerations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service designOR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems).

Other Requirements

The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in product design for highly complex systemsDemonstrated breadth across interaction design, information architecture, usabilityVisual storytelling skillsHands-on experience creating detailed wireframes (both low and high fidelity), polished design prototypes and other design artifacts in a fast-paced environmentAble to scope and estimate efforts accurately and prioritize workload independentlyProficiency in a variety of design tools (especially Figma) and processes such as journey mapping and design sprints/workshopsExperience designing user experiences for cloud software and services and/or IT professionals is a big plusComfortable with ambiguity, design tradeoffs and shifting prioritiesCreative and holistic problem solver with a sharp eye for detailsCreating and applying established design principles and interaction patternsExperience using design components and pattern libraries

Product Design IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
