Marketing & New MediaReports To: Vice President, Marketing & New MediaStatus: Full-Time, Salaried, ExemptJOB SUMMARY:The Philadelphia Phillies are looking for a Manager, Digital Media & Content to lead strategy and development of the organization’s digital content, continuing the establishment of the Phillies as a best-in-class organization across the digital and social scape. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with others across the organization to engage and grow the team’s fan base by overseeing the development of creative content and maintenance of community management.The right mix of creativity, experience in the professional sports industry and adaptability will be crucial in this role to help develop engaging creative content aligned with wider organization goals and initiatives.The role focuses on day-to-day strategy and publishing, amplifying the Phillies brand and coordinating activities across internal stakeholders, players, partners, and others.RESPONSIBILITIES:Contribute to the strategic direction, programming and execution of the Phillies’ digital and social media efforts, focusing on both short and longer-term goals.Manage team responsible for the day-to-day social media publishing.Act as a project manager of content from official Phillies accounts, from ideation through execution, establishing a standard and distribution of content upheld organization-wide.Ensure efforts are consistent and aligned with strategic goals and brand initiatives across all Phillies social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat.Work to maintain brand “voice” on social media so it remains fresh, cohesive, topical and recognized both locally and throughout MLB.Monitor the daily conversation and ensure continuous active community engagement via social media accounts throughout the entire year, both in-season and out-of-season.Track and analyze content performance and KPIs to continuously improve the impact of the Phillies from a digital and social perspective.Remain abreast of emerging social media platforms and industry trends to continue evaluating how to innovate marketing the Phillies brand.Lead workflow surrounding internal social and digital media requests.Build relationships and create synergy between external content creators, internal social media editors and key digital vendors both locally and nationally.Support brand, image, and content curation of MLB Ballpark Application for Club. Work collaboratively with internal matrix team to enhance and position club-specific sections as a strategic asset.Assist coordination with Major League Baseball on league-related digital media initiatives and directives.Coordinate within the department to ensure overall consistent messaging and branding between marketing, advertising and digital media efforts.Align content creation across multiple organizational stakeholders including Ticket Sales, Community Relations, Partnership Sales, Communications, and Baseball Operations.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital/Social Media, Communications, Journalism or similar field.Excellent knowledge and well-versed in new media platforms, aspects and trends.Minimum of 7+ years of experience managing social communities for a prominent brand or professional sports team.Experience working with various digital reporting tools, with proficiency in Sprinklr or Emplifi preferred.Demonstrated ability to manage all components of marketing executions such as project kick-off, timelines and budgets, contracts, flowcharts, recommendations, presentations, and analysis.Demonstrated ability to research, identify and compile competitive insights to guide and optimize new media efforts.Highly proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Adobe Creative Suite, photography, digital video and editing skills are a plus.Strong leadership, organization, teamwork and interpersonal skills.Positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to collaborate across departments to see projects to completion.Contribute to the professional development of team members and direct reports.Must have the ability to work non-traditional work hours including nights, weekends and holidays.The Phillies are an Equal Opportunity Employer
