The Role:We are looking for an Assistant to supportan agent in our Media Finance Group in Los Angeles . The office’s primary responsibility is to help package, finance, and sell films outside of the studio system, and is heavily involved in film sales across all the major festivals such as Cannes, Sundance and Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a passion for film and curiosity for how films are developed, financed, and sold. Additionally, the Assistant is administratively capable of handling a high volume of tasks, across multiple time-zones, with the ability to clearly communicate with the agent, clients, and peers.Responsibilities:Manage administrative duties including handling heavy phones and emails, client calendar management, booking reports, preparing expense reports, updating contracts, scheduling traveland general office management tasksServe as the first point of contact with clients, Agents and Network/Studio ExecutivesTrackclients, potential clients projects and financiersAssist with special projects, research,flagging trades, news and compiling information as neededStay up to date on current events within the entertainment landscape, especially as it relates to Motion Pictures and TelevisionQualifications:Minimum of 10 months of professional administrative or equivalent experienceAbility to work well in fast-paced environments; meet tight deadlines; lead multiple projects and expectations; maintain a sharp focus while handling competing priorities; ability to work well under pressureAttention to detail, strong organization and problem-solving skills are a mustStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, while understanding the importance of maintaining confidentialityStrong command of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel and TeamsAbility to anticipate needs and execute time-sensitive mattersTeam oriented and able to communicate and collaborate with employees at all levelsAdept at quickly learning new processes, technology, and ability to assimilate oneself and become familiar with existing systemsLocationOn-Site in Los Angeles , CA , United StatesCompensationThe base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $20.00-22.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.
