Commercial Audio Manufacturer is looking for an audio engineer/technician with audio system design and troubleshooting skills to provide designs and design assistance to our nationwide dealer and customer base. The position will also include assisting in developing local products for the US market and providing help desk support.

This is a full time, in-office position in Secaucus, NJ. Health, Dental, 401K, vacation, etc. Office casual attire (jacket and tie not required). Some travel may be required for trade shows. Approximately 5%.

Experience required-BS in electronic or electrical engineering or related field and/or minimum 3 years’ experience in audio or telecommunications technology is preferred.Familiar with 70V and low-impedance systems and their applications.Working knowledge of, and experience with, audio system components including, but not limited to, mixers, preamplifiers, matrixes, audio DSP, power amplifiers, intercoms, and audio over IP solutions.Excellent command of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint is required.The candidate will use the following tools to design audio systems-General electronics knowledgeGeneral audio knowledge (SynAudCon, CTS a plus) and familiarity with industry standard texts (example: Sound System Engineering by Davis, Petronis Jr., Brown) and standard audio system calculations.Knowledge of IP audio, especially related to SIP interfaces, codecs, protocols, etc.IP troubleshooting skillsWorking knowledge of 2D AutoCAD (AutoCAD LT) for block diagrams.

The successful candidate will be able to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner that non-engineers can understand.

Language skills-Fluent English. Conversational or better Spanish language skills are a plus.
