Tourism Social Media ManagerGeneral Definition:The Tourism Social Media Manager supports marketing and communications efforts to promote Chickasaw Country as the top First American tourism destination by supporting and fulfilling the strategy, execution, monitoring and community-building efforts. In addition to Chickasaw Country, the position will manage social media for all brands under the Chickasaw Nation Department of Tourism.Supervision Received:

NoneEssential Job Functions:·

Create, curate and manage all published content across social platforms, including but not limited to images, videos and stories.·

Responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and critiquing of all Department of Tourism social media channels.·

Ensure that all social communication adheres to the brand voice and tone guidelines.·

Create and coordinate social media editorial calendars and schedules for multiple brands within the Department of Tourism.·

Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor destination reputation.·

Design, instigate and optimize paid social media.·

Monitor, analyze and forecast the paid social media budget.·

Analyze key metrics and adjust strategy as needed.·

Create reports for management showing results laddering up to goals and KPIs.·

Reach out, develop and maintain strong relationships with the tourism industry and other relevant social media contacts, brand ambassadors and influencers.·

Collaborate with co-workers and partners to develop/ensure best practices, tips and suggestions to optimize department efforts.·

Assist the Tourism Marketing Assistant Director in executing cooperative marketing projects·

Assist in developing the tourism marketing plan and budget·

Produce reports of activities, including long-range planning calendar as well as trip reports.·

Attend events and festivals to capture content used for promoting Department of Tourism brands.·

Participate in hospitality industry functions and organizations as appropriateMay be required to perform some or all duties from an office, remote location or home office environment. Regardless of location, incumbents are expected to fully perform all duties to the high professional standards and expectations of the Chickasaw NationPerform all other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:·

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in Marketing, Communications or a related field.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Self-motivated individual with a proven record of creative content creation, ability to analyze social channels and executing successful campaigns that drove measurable results for the company or brandKnowledgeable in social media and digital technologies, constantly informed on industry developments, including consumer trends and new technologies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be honest, team-oriented and have the initiative to work without supervision.Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, staff, co-workers and the general public.Training and Experience:·

Three (3) plus years of related experience, including guiding the social media presence for a brand or organization; experience with social media strategy, analytics, reporting, conversion tracking and metrics analysis; marketing, communications, media buying and/or publishing.Licenses/Certifications/Other:Must possess a valid driver’s license.Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.Must be able to work nights and weekends.
