Position Overview:

The VP of Product Marketing will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization by taking the current roadmap, developed by a consultant, and building a comprehensive product marketing framework. This role involves a mix of product marketing and go-to-market (GTM) strategy, brand awareness, and outbound marketing efforts. Initially, you’ll act as an individual contributor (IC), overseeing content, messaging, and strategy execution, with the opportunity to build and lead a marketing team as the company grows.

Develop and execute a product marketing strategy that aligns with business goals and growth objectives, leveraging the roadmap created by the current consultant.Brand Awareness & GTM Strategy:

Lead efforts to build brand awareness, develop and execute outbound marketing campaigns, and establish a strong GTM strategy that drives growth.Content & Messaging Oversight:

Oversee outsourced content writers and web designers to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all channels, including web design and outreach strategies.Metrics & KPI Management:

Set and track metrics related to top-of-funnel activities, qualified leads, and field events, demonstrating the impact of marketing efforts on revenue growth.Team Leadership:

Start as an individual contributor with the potential to build and lead a high-performing marketing team over time.Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and external contractors, to ensure alignment and execution of marketing strategies.Market Insight:

Stay informed on industry trends, particularly in gaming, and apply insights to enhance our market position.Qualifications:Experience:

10+ years of product marketing experience, with a strong background in B2B SaaS across both large and small companies. Experience in eCommerce SaaS is a plus.Strategic & Hands-On:

Proven ability to be both strategic and hands-on, with experience driving growth and revenue through effective marketing strategies.Metrics-Driven:

Demonstrated success in metrics-driven roles, with a strong ability to show past accomplishments using KPIs.Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with Salesforce, CRM, email service providers, and marketing cloud platforms.Soft Skills:

Excellent presentation skills, team player, and highly collaborative with the ability to thrive in a small company environment.Nice to Haves:Experience in online gaming and sports.A strong understanding of the gaming audience and how to effectively market to this demographic.
