We have team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees.
We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build those relationships with team members in other cities, we meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually.
What the Role Is
Babylist is hiring a Social Media Manager to focus on Instagram strategy and content. Instagram is a key channel and window to which our customers, potential customers, influencers and celebrities view the brand. We believe Instagram is a meaningful marketing channel to both uplevel our brand perception and deepen our brand understanding with both new and existing users. This person will hold the key to this channel and be responsible for content creation and measurement. This role will sit on the Brand Marketing team and will report directly to the Director of PR and Social.
Who You Are
5-8 years of experience in Social Media, specifically with a focus on Instagram/Meta
You have at least 1-2 years of management experience
You’ve led Instagram strategy and content for a major consumer brand
You are a whole-brained go-getter who has a track record building successful platform strategy while also being a creative executor who can turn a Reel around in record timing
You are metrics savvy and have a deep understanding of how to slice and dice channel data to understand what our audience is telling us and how we can optimize our channel strategy
You’re a content creator who, at any given moment, knows what’s trending on Instagram and has several ideas for how Babylist can participate
You obsess over Instagram native trends and platform updates and features and are eager to test and implement new features.
You understand the unique life stage of our users and take that into consideration with every social post and idea
Located in LA is preferred but not required
How You Will Make An Impact
Develop a content strategy for our Instagram channel
Concept and create brand-owned Instagram and Instagram Story content, creating content that uplevels the Babylist brand and educates on the Babylist value prop
Measure performance on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, obsessing over what our audience is telling us and iterating the strategy accordingly
Trendspot on Instagram and take action to create content quickly when a trend is right for our brand
Support registry acquisition as a secondary channel goal, supporting creative strategy needs across Meta in close partnership with with acquisition team
Establish yourself internally as the go-to for all things Instagram. Ability to take a campaign or initiative and turn around the best way to make that idea shine on Instagram
Collaborate and share learnings with direct social team and key cross-functional stakeholders (design, editorial, partnerships, showroom)

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The estimated pay range for this role is $86,320.00 - $129,480.00
In addition, Babylist offers equity, bonus, and benefits, including company paid health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
