Job DescriptionMarketing Strategy Director (Remote or Hybrid)B2B Tech Marketing | Method CommunicationsThe OpportunityThe B2B Strategy Director leads advertising, communications and brand strategy across one or more agency clients using market analysis, qualitative and quantitative research, brand and marketing methodologies to deliver brand positioning, communications and channel strategies and integrated advertising campaigns. The Strategy Director is a B2B specialist focused on B2B communications strategies, including but not limited to content, channel, brand and messaging frameworks.The majority of the role revolves around supporting clients to understand their commercial and brand challenges, developing end-to-end brands. This work will be largely done through demand generation, lead generation, lead nurture and sales enablement campaigns to present to clients and measuring the effectiveness and value of campaigns. In addition to working on existing client business, the role also supports new and organic business development.The Strategy Director will report to the VP of Marketing and work as a partner to Account Leads (EVP, SVP, VP and Directors) across the agency. They will work collaboratively across all marketing functions including creative teams, content teams, research, social and digital marketing. The Strategy Director is a member of the Leadership Team and eligible to Coach.A successful B2B Strategy Director supports the following:Account Management, Direction and Execution:Manage and maintain client relationships building trust and helping clients have confidence in the agency team and our collective ability to achieve their goals.Direct strategic output and inspire creative work, while allowing team members to own and execute projects.Cut through and identify clear and differentiated directions for brand, channel, communications and digital/social briefs that inspire creative and business success.Lead conversations around brand, business marketing and communications strategies as well as social and digital marketing, data and optimization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.Positive attitude, critical thinker and problem solver.Work with executive leads to develop realistic goals for internal team members and for clients.Encompass a strong executive presence when providing ideas, counsel and feedback to clients and internal teams.Oversee the formal evaluation of completed campaigns and sharing of results.Retain clients and build strong trusting relationships.Provide superior concierge service and ensure client satisfaction.Leadership:Act as a mentor to junior staff.Participate in agency leadership discussions.Develop, implement and share ways of working to ensure the highest standard of work is always maintained within the agency.Evangelize marketing within the agency by providing outstanding vision and thinking across the marketing landscape.Deliver constructive feedback to ensure level requirements are met and the correct action is taken, where necessary.Participate in office activities (virtual and/or in-person dependent on location).Have a strong, positive presence within the agency.Support business development.What We’re Looking For:An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.8+ years in a communications strategy role with a minimum of 2 years in a B2B strategy role, ideally in an agency setting.Demonstrated experience leading brand strategy, end-to-end communications plans and content strategies on B2B accounts building, conceptualizing and executing integrated communications programs that align with client/company business goals.Proven success solving complex problems in a matrix environment.Have a strong understanding of the tools and methodologies used in B2B communications.Collaborative, team-oriented individual with a big-picture mindset.Passion for work and commitment to developing skills and helping team members learn on a daily basis.Experience leading a team.Experience developing account-based marketing, marketing automation and CRM programs.The ability to build rapport and quickly establish excellent working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.What’s it like to work here?Relationships are paramount to life at Method, and we invest heavily in building and maintaining relationships with clients, journalists and each other. We’ve provided the following salary ranges for the locations we operate in below due to their state regulations. If your market is not listed below, your specific salary band will be discussed during the recruitment process. Final compensation for this role will be determined by a number of factors including candidate’s education, relevant work experience and geographic location.State of New York: $98,378 - $161,373.New York City: $161,373 - $181,481.State of California: $110,596 - $179,904.San Francisco: $179,904 - $200,699.State of Washington: $98,378 - $155,408.Work ArrangementThe role can be performed fully remote in the United States or hybrid if near a hub office in San Francisco, Salt Lake City, or New York City.
