Senior Marketing Manager, English Language Learning

for National Geographic Learning will develop and implement an effective marketing strategy that drives growth in US K12. This is a new role so you will have significant ownership of the marketing plan and approach, which is why we are seeking an expert K12 marketer!As a senior marketing leader, you will use your experience and expertise to craft and implement effective strategies, initiatives, and processes.Cross-functional alignment. Partner and align with other Marketing, Product, Sales and Customer Success teams to drive product demand, revenue and usage.Understand and recommend marketing tactics and channels most effective in moving your customers along the decision-making and usage journey.Use extensive customer interaction and research to achieve deep market and customer understanding and analysis, defining areas of growth opportunity, deepening relationships with key school districts and developing compelling messaging for target audiences.Understand the market landscape, competitive advantages/disadvantages and product offerings to help define specific areas of focus.For new products, plan and implement launch campaigns early in development cycle, and collaborate with global marketing team on the needs of the US market.Play a lead role along with our two Senior Engagement specialists and our Associate Marketing Manager in RFP analysis and submission.Write and edit copy for marketing collateral; lead projects with the creative design team.Track and analyze campaign results; assist with and write presentations and trainings.Acquire approvals for special offers; and work directly with departments across the company, vendors, and customers.Skills You Will Need HereBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Minimum of 6 years of Marketing experience, preferably in US K12.Able to remain agile while optimally handling work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.Digital marketing skills covering email, social, and webpage creation.Strong copywriting skills.Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with other team members, customers, sales, etc.Able to travel as needed to conferences and customer events.Experience partnering with creative services, freelance/contractors, agency partners or other vendors to develop marketing campaigns.PreferredFamiliarity with SEO/SEM, project management, Salesforce, Adobe Creative Suite and/or other design programs, and/or analytical platforms.At National Geographic Learning, a part of Cengage Group, we are enabling opportunity, powering progress, and supporting student journeys toward college and career. The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

$73,400.00 - $117,400.00 USD
