Position Title: Music Lab Aide WS, Student Employment Requirement Not Applicable Division/Department: Performing Arts Location Albany Campus, Albany, OR Job Summary:

Assist students in projects related to courses in the music production program.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

* Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC, maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better, and have financial aid in place to be eligible to work in a Work Study student employee capacity at Linn-Benton Community College.

Skills and Abilities:

* Requires basic office operations knowledge and skills.* Must be able to use Google Sheets. Must be able to communicate effectively with large groups of people.* Must be able to perform the duties of the position efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision and following well-defined policies and procedures.* Must be able to communicate clearly with diverse populations in a courteous manner, exercising patience, either over the phone or in person.* Must be able to work respectfully with individuals from all cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives.

Preferred Qualifications: Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work is normally performed in an office setting with little or no exposure to health and safety hazards.

Essential Duties:

* Assist students in projects related to courses in the music production program.* Monitor computer usage and ensure that only students taking classes in the program are using the equipment.* Assist in the check-out and check-in of equipment.* Inform music production faculty of any issues concerning the equipment in the lab.* Ensure the lab is clean and ready for use by the next class.* Ensure all rules set by instructors of the group piano and music production courses are followed during lab hours. This includes rules about food and drinks on the desks.
