Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Web Content Design Strategist. This position is responsible for managing the EMCC website; overseeing the functionality of the website; evaluating and managing website performance; coordinating hosting and server management; and developing, maintaining, and updating website content. This position works closely with other web experts at the college and across the Maricopa County Community College District as well as with "clients" made up of EMCC faculty and staff to ensure EMCC students have an enhanced user experience.Essential Functions:Maps, develops, manages, and updates EMCC website; Publishes content, maintains continuity of themes, designs layout, streamlines navigation, and increasing online presence; Works with faculty and staff to continually improve the EMCC website and its content, including providing consultations with faculty and staff "clients"; Writes and reviews website content as needed with a strong attention to detail and experience editing copy; Troubleshoots website content and software; Optimizes website pages to ensure user accessibility: Takes primary ownership of search engine optimization, online tracking mechanisms, and HTML code as necessary under the direction of IT; Provides support on web projects in partnership with IT.Creates tracking links to monitor online traffic; creates results reports; researches, retrieves, assembles, and reviews data; performs preliminary analysis; Assists in using data to inform web advertising and marketing strategies; applies web-based applications to direct marketing strategies and analytics; Assists with the development, review, modification, and implementation of forms, policies and procedures; Researches industry standards, trends, best practices and emerging technologies and makes recommendations for implementation; Serves as a web and digital content administrator by managing updates and all relevant compliance tasks; Analyzes and generates user reports and troubleshoots technical problems; Initiates and maintains contacts throughout college.Manages and schedules content for Marquis, Axis systems, and other digital platforms on campus; Other duties as assigned commensurate to grade-level of position.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology, graphic design or related field and one (1) year of full-time equivalent website development experience.ORAssociate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology, graphic design or related field and two (2) years of full-time equivalent website development experience.ORHigh school diploma/GED and five (5) years of full-time equivalent website development experience.Desired Qualifications:Experience using content management and design software to create, design, and maintain website content, graphics, and landing pages as well as monitoring adherence to compliance standards.Experience maximizing search engine optimization and reporting on web traffic, marketing, and advertising activities.Experience compiling, sorting, and articulating issues and recommendations for the development of web-specific policies and procedures.Experience managing full-cycle web content projects including coordinating deadlines, prioritizing competing demands, proofreading, and error correction.Experience with web content management systems, relevant software applications, and basic HTML.Experience working in a fast-paced, proactive atmosphere; demonstrating strong communication skills; and meeting deadlines while providing high-quality client services.Special Working Conditions:
