Position Overview:

Join our innovative team as a Senior System Engineer focused on Lighting and Shade systems. You'll lead the creation of sophisticated lighting solutions for high-end residential projects, supporting both presale and post-sale engineering teams cross-functionally. This advanced-level role involves providing expert-level engineering solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the successful implementation of lighting and shade control systems. This new role is pivotal in expanding our comprehensive technology offerings, complementing our expertise in lighting control systems and motorized intelligent window treatments. Must be NYC based, or a short car or train ride away.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement detailed lighting design plans for luxury residential spaces.

Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and clients to integrate lighting with overall design aesthetics.

Generate detailed proposals, scopes of work, and design packages for complex lighting and shade projects.

Review and validate design documents, CAD drawings, and material lists.

Act as a technical lead on complex projects, ensuring successful implementation and integration of lighting and shade control systems.

Collaborate with sales, design, and project management teams to ensure project requirements are met, attending off-site meetings and site visits as needed.

Coordinate with our technology team to ensure seamless integration of lighting systems with existing audio, video, automation, networking, security, and motorized window treatments.

Stay abreast of the latest lighting design trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in the design, support, and implementation of lighting and shade control systems, preferably in home automation.

Manufacturer certifications related to lighting and shade control, including Lutron, Crestron and Savant.

ALA Lighting Specialist certification or similar a plus.

CAPM or PMP certification a plus.

Ability to specify lighting fixtures that meet both technical and aesthetic standards a plus.

Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.

Prior experience designing or supporting designs for AV, networking, and/or HVAC integration a plus.

Exceptional communication and project management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on multiple projects.
