Overview

Visit Overland Park is seeking a dynamic and experienced

Digital Marketing Manager . This role will manage the Visit Overland Park website, powered by a CMS/CRM platform, and will develop and maintain Visit Overland Park’s image as a premier destination marketing organization.

They will work closely with the Director of Marketing and the Social Media and Content Manager. The Digital Marketing Manager is pivotal in enhancing our online presence, engaging with our audience, and driving digital initiatives that align with our strategic goals. As the Destination Marketing and Management Organization for Overland Park, Kansas; Visit Overland Park is dedicated to driving year-round and sustainable growth for Overland Park through destination marketing, tourism product development and overall destination development.

ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Director of Marketing, responsibilities include:

Daily management and maintenance of Visit Overland Park website, ensuring it is always up-to-date, and functions smoothly.

Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on digital marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Bring a creative vision to our digital initiatives ensuring we stay ahead of trends in the digital space.

Collaborating closely with the Director of Marketing and Social Media & Content Manager on content/editorial calendars and to enhance our digital presence.

Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to the CMS/CRM platform.

Executing effective SEO strategies to improve website visibility and traffic.

Working with external vendors and service providers.

Ensuring all digital marketing efforts comply with data protection and privacy regulations.

Providing training and support to staff as needed on using the CMS/CRM platform.

Maintaining the Digital Asset Management platform.

Cultivating knowledge of email service providers and marketing efforts.

Researching and staying informed about the latest digital trends and technologies, applying them to enhance the website’s performance and user experience.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in the travel and tourism industry.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.

A self-starter with a proven track record in the digital space.

Strong web development skills in technical design and performance with a knack for troubleshooting.

Creative thinker with a results-driven mindset.

Proven experience in managing websites using CMS and CRM platforms and strong understanding of web technologies, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

In-depth knowledge of current digital trends and best practices.

Documented proficiency in utilizing digital tools such as Google Analytics, Canva and other platforms to strategically enhance and measure the effectiveness of an organization’s digital marketing efforts.

Ability to work effectively with team members and external partners.

Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and effective interpersonal skills internally and externally.

Knowledge of Overland Park and the city’s tourism assets is a plus.

Compensation: $64,000 - $69,000
