Excellent opportunity for a talented individual with marketing experience to join our non-profit organization for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Associate is responsible for providing marketing and communications support for multiple departments across YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg. The qualified candidate will demonstrate hands-on experience with marketing software and tools for sending email communications, posting/managing social media, creating or updating marketing graphics and a variety of other general marketing tactics.

Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, clear writing capabilities, and an ability to multitask and work efficiently in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.Primary Responsibilities

Assists with social media for the association. This includes basic content collection, photography and writing that supports ongoing association programs and events. Also assists with monitoring communication tools across our social media platforms.

Assists with email marketing through MailChimp, including weekly content planning, scheduling and execution of our weekly e-newsletter. Assists with list imports as needed.

Assists with gathering data and reporting performance of marketing campaigns (including social media, email marketing, Google Analytics and other efforts).

Using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva, modifies and updates graphic design templates, paying close attention to brand guidelines. May assist with new designs as needed.

Assists with updates to the association website as needed through designated content management system.

Assists with photo and video coverage at special events as needed.

Conceptualizes and writes promotional copy that effectively communicates project objectives. Edits copy as needed.

Maintains tools needed to complete job duties by regularly checking for and installing computer and device updates and software as needed. Manages and organizes digital files, logins, and passwords as appropriate.

Manages multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Logs all project updates and files through project management system, Trello.

Integrates diverse information, paying close attention to detail, while following best practices, procedures and processes.

Assists department with other duties as needed. This may include - but isn't limited to- monitoring online reviews, updating online business listings such as Yelp, Google etc. and online digital signage.

Stays informed of ever-evolving best practices across digital marketing channels.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or other related field, plus 2-years of in-the-field, related experience such as digital marketing, social media marketing, or email marketing preferred.

Hands-on experience with business-level social media tools and platforms including Meta Business Suite. Experience with social content writing, publishing and analytics tools.

Hands-on experience creating email marketing campaigns through MailChimp or a similar platform.

Experience designing and creating marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred. Experience with Canva is a plus.

Experience making web updates through a content management system such as Accrisoft, WordPress, Drupal, etc., as well as familiarity with Google Analytics.

Strong interpersonal skills, including a professional and friendly demeanor in working with coworkers and vendors and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Basic knowledge of how to take photos, transfer photos from various devices, basic understanding of image file types and resolution.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Excellent computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software. Familiarity with Mac operating system. Basic use of Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive, or other related software.

Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, stay organized and meet deadlines. Some experience with a project management system or platform preferred.

Keenly detail-oriented and organized.

Thinks analytically to solve problems and find creative solutions.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Full-time, $23-24/hr. We offer excellent benefits including health insurance, facility usage, before and after school child care, and YMCA-paid retirement upon eligibility. Pre-employment drug test and background screen required.
