Your Role on the Team

PART-TIME CONTRACT ROLE (50% time through June 30, 2025)

Under general supervision, the Program and Marketing Coordinator plans, develops and implements basic marketing plans, strategies and events for programs.

Plays a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and coordinating marketing, primarily social media, strategy to increase program awareness and attendance to events. Develops and publishes content on websites as well as manages program social media accounts, within brand and marketing guidelines. Schedule and publish social media posts, ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging. Monitor and respond to social media interactions in a timely manner. Analyzes key metrics and makes recommendations to adjust strategies as needed to enhance performance. Uses marketing concepts in performing non-complex responsibilities such as planning, developing and implementing basic marketing plans, drafting promotional or marketing materials.

Assists in the planning and execution of programs and events, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. Coordinates logistical aspects such as scheduling, venue booking, and material preparation. Maintains detailed records of program activities, outcomes, and participant feedback. Assists in evaluation of program effectiveness. Communicates effectively with team members, participants, and external partners.

Assists in monitoring program budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial integrity and accountability. Performs a variety of financial activities in support of programs, including purchasing and processing payments.

The Program and Marketing Coordinator supports the priority UCI programs as assigned, including but not limited to:Illuminations: Building on UCI's demonstrated excellence in the creative arts and cultural programming, Illuminations aims to ensure that all of our students, regardless of major, have serious and meaningful exposure to the creative arts.Advisory Council on Campus Climate, Culture & Inclusion: Comprised of faculty, staff and student representatives, the Council works to provide ongoing evaluation of the campus climate conditions, practices and policies and develops educational programs and opportunities that encourage fostering respect, civility and mutual appreciation of our community.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $28.07- $48.28 (Hourly).

Required:Solid knowledge of marketing principles, concepts, strategies and best practices.Knowledge of customer service standards / procedures.Organizational skills and skills in file creation, maintenance and management.Written and interpersonal communication skills.Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / trainingMinimum 1 year of professional experience using social mediaMinimum 1 year of professional experience in supporting the marketing of a program, product, etc.

Preferred:Solid knowledge of program offerings.Knowledge of university purchasing and payment procedures.
