Reporting to the Director of Sports Marketing Strategy, the Sports Marketing Manager is a key player in Telemundo’s sports marketing strategy, responsible for orchestrating promotional campaigns across various sports properties. This role involves managing projects, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and overseeing promotional assets throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will excel in strategic planning, stakeholder management, and campaign execution, ensuring cohesive marketing efforts that span multiple platforms and properties within the Telemundo and NBCU ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution

Assist in managing launch campaigns and ongoing promotion for all Sports properties

Develop and present promotional strategy decks to internal and external stakeholders

Create strategic marketing briefs and amplification plans for promotional efforts

Lead end-to-end promotional ownership of various Sports properties

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

Collaborate with social/digital teams, network shows, external partners, local stations, and PR

Manage relationships with the Sports Production team to improve fluency and operational efficiencies

Work closely with Marketing Creative teams to align promotional efforts

Asset Management and Distribution

Request promotional assets through various operational systems

Distribute on-air and off-air promotional elements for all Sports properties across stakeholders

Campaign Management and Analysis

Conduct marketing campaign recaps for each property

Assist in identifying cross-promotion opportunities and synergies across Telemundo and NBCUniversal outlets

Project Management

Organize and participate in brainstorming sessions

Coordinate planning with stakeholders

Manage talent requests

Oversee project management and creative deliveries

Basic Requirements:

This role requires strong interpersonal skills and entrepreneurial spirit. An organized self-starter, who can combine a thorough understanding of the marketing opportunities and needs, with effective written and verbal communication skills.

This role requires an individual who can adapt to changing priorities. A person that is comfortable managing pressure and someone who genuinely enjoys building and maintaining valuable relationships with key partners.

Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate details to senior management. Outstanding presentation skills are a must.

Fluency in Spanish and English is a must.

Minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally in media.

Requires some travel.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
