The Digital Designer is responsible for design, layout, and production of assets across various Fandango platforms and digital formats to support creative content, marketing, and social media materials. The Digital Designer is expected to be a creatively resourceful, organized, and a highly collaborative team player eager to engage in a communication driven and quick-turn Creative Department. This individual will work closely with the design team under the supervision of the Art Director/Sr. Art Director and produce agency-level quality creative every day, meeting the needs of all the entertainment brands and its affiliate business marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

Provide design support to Creative Content, Product, and Marketing teams

Design for multi-platform and cross-platform applications involving web, mobile, and large-screen displays

Participate in creative discussions and effectively articulate reasoning behind design decisions

Present ideas and concepts to Art Director/Sr. Art Director using appropriate presentation techniques

Work closely with key stakeholders to provide creative support, as well as be adaptable in both applied skills and accepting creative direction

Adhere to company design and brand guidelines and work within these with a high degree of independence

Keep current with industry visual design standards and trends and implement that knowledge in day-to-day design work

Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Basic Requirements

2+ years professional design experience in a related industry

Must possess strong applied skills in design, motion, video editing, layout, typography, and creative problem-solving

Ability to work both as an individual contributor and in a collaborative environment

Team player who understands the value of regular and effective communication and team-based problem-solving

Knowledgeable in internet usability, mobile, web, and responsive design

Ability to execute feedback and be flexible to change and adapt quickly

Strong project planning skills, including the ability to organize and prioritize job responsibilities to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities

Works fast and dependably with a keen ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Must have proven hands-on experience in all current creative development tools including (but not limited to) After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop knowledgeable about computer-based asset development, file management, and comprehend tradeoff issues involved with digital design

Excellent organizational skills and attention to deadlines

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Should be passionate about design and have the ability to deliver final solutions that meet the high creative standards of the Fandango brands

Works well with others; handles edits, changes, and updates professionally

Demonstrates and maintains consistent graphic standards to uphold brand integrity across the portfolio

Desired Characteristics:

Knowledge of film and television and the entertainment industry is a plus

The ability to work cooperatively and constructively with many stakeholders, both inside and outside of the organization.

The ability to foster long-term partnerships with colleagues both senior and junior, and the strength to receive feedback gracefully and positively.

Experience with large brands, specifically entertainment-related brands, a plus.

Able to exercise discretion and keep the strictest levels of confidentiality

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
