Position: Corporate Marketing Director

Main office location: Marriott Lincolnshire Resort, 10 Marriott Dr., Lincolnshire, IL 60069

Reporting To: Vice President Commercial Strategy

I. Introduction

The Bricton Group is employing a skilled and motivated Corporate Marketing Director to lead and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive revenue, enhance brand visibility, and ensure guest satisfaction at our portfolio of hotels. This role is crucial in maintaining the hotels’ competitive edge in the hospitality industry.

II. Objectives

The primary objectives of the Corporate Marketing Director are as follows:

Increase Hotel Revenue: Develop and implement strategies to drive room bookings, dining reservations, event bookings, Marriott Theatre ticket sales & packages, Golf course attendance & packages and other revenue-generating services.

Brand Enhancement: Elevate the hotels’ brand awareness, reputation, and loyalty among guests, potential customers, and partners.

Guest Experience: Ensure guests have a memorable and exceptional experience by effectively promoting the hotels’ offerings and special event activations.

Marketing Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive marketing plan, encompassing both online and offline channels, to achieve the above objectives.

III. Key Responsibilities

A. Marketing Strategy Development and Implementation

Assist in development and implementation of an annual marketing plans that aligns with the hotels’ goals and budget.

Identify target markets and create tailored marketing campaigns to reach them effectively.

Continuously monitor market trends and competitors to adapt marketing strategies accordingly.

Plan and execute seasonal and promotional campaigns, leveraging various channels, including social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and traditional advertising.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with other departments, such as sales, F&B, theatre, golf and events.

Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives using data-driven insights and adjust strategies as needed.

Management of creative agencies to include status calls, project submissions, final approval process, and distribution within timelines

Management of Marketing calendars; newsletters, campaign, and brand holidays

B. Digital Marketing

Oversee the hotels’ and company’s online presence, including the website, social media profiles, and third-party booking platforms.

Quarterly Website audits & updates; both vanity sites and brand.com

Manage the creation of engaging and SEO-optimized content for the website and social media.

Implement paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and social media platforms.

Monitor online reviews and reputation management to ensure positive guest experiences.

C. Social Media and Content Marketing

Develop and execute a social media strategy to increase brand visibility and engagement.

Create & manage a content calendar for social media platforms

Create and curate compelling content for various social media platforms.

Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, and engage with the online community.

Utilize influencers and partnerships to enhance the resort's online presence.

Social Media support to include oversight of stories, community mgt, and FB events in tandem with 3rd party agency. Hotels, F&B outlets, Theatre, & Golf pages as needed.

Audit of Social Media accounts, FB events, etc. with report out quarterly to VP Commercial Strategy

D. Public Relations and Media

Manage PR strategy to include liaison to PR agency, award strategy, news management, and media sites/visits

Cultivate relationships with media outlets and influencers for earned media opportunities.

Prepare and distribute press releases and media kits as needed.

Coordinate media visits and interviews with resort spokespersons.

Develop, maintain and assist in handling crisis communications effectively.

E. Advertising and Promotion

Plan and execute advertising campaigns, both online and offline.

Negotiate and manage relationships with advertising agencies and media partners.

Develop promotional packages and pricing strategies.

In-house marketing and signage

F. Email Marketing

Develop email marketing campaigns to promote special offers, events, & loyalty programs

Segment, target & manage email lists for maximum effectiveness.

Manage Email marketing programing (currently via Mailchimp)

G. Property Operations & Event Management

Primary contact for coordination & execution of on-property marketing events.

Facilitate monthly marketing meetings according to the approved agenda

Management and archival of all Marketing assets: meeting minutes, photography, video, reports, etc. Centralized source to be determined and accessible by all parties needing access.

Marketing SOP management, revision, execution, etc. in conjunction with VP Commercial Strategy

H. Loyalty Program Management

Manage Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program promotions and member engagement

Develop strategies to increase loyalty program enrollment

I. Analytics & Reporting

Monitor marketing performance metrics and prepare regular reports; monthly / quarterly / annual

Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies

J. Budget Management

Assist in development & management the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.

Maintain accurate records of expenses and provide regular financial reports to senior management.

IV. Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Minimum of 4 years of marketing experience in the hospitality industry.

Proven track record of successful marketing campaigns and revenue growth.

Strong knowledge of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

Creativity and innovative thinking in developing marketing strategies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
