Provide all properties for the season, including rehearsal props for all presentations of the Florida Grand Opera. Maintain a master prop list for all properties owned by FGO, ensuring safety, timeliness, quality, and efficiency.RESPONSIBILITIES:PRE-SEASON:

Gather information from the Director, Designer (as needed), and Production Stage Manager and create the seasonal props lists.Check and monitor season props budgets.Set up the prop shop. Make sure that the shop stock items are available.Ensure that all stock props are in order and correct any problems that may exist.Ensure that all shows in stock have a correct and up-to-date prop list.Pull together all show props for rentals that may be going out during the season.Set up all bookkeeping, purchase orders, check requests, and petty cash accounts.SEASON:

Contact Directors and Designers and check for any revisions that may have occurred.Shop, select, and/or fabricate all properties.Assist stage management in preparations of props plots and running lists.Coordinate repair of show properties with the Technical Director.Coordinate props transfer from rehearsal space to the theater with the Stage Manager and Technical Director.Maintain prop budget to ensure proper fiscal management.Supervise the packing and transfer of properties to each theater and rehearsal hall, ensuring the properties arrive in good condition.LOAD-IN:

Check in with the Technical Director and Production Stage Manager at least daily.Keep up with the needs of the Director, Set Designer, and Stage Management in a timely fashion and according to budget.Keep everyone informed of daily changes.REHEARSALS:

Ensure all props are available on stage.Attend all rehearsals on stage.Instruct IATSE Property Master in the use of all properties.Work out all notes with the Director, Designer, and Technical Director.Ensure all notes are completed in a timely and efficient manner.PERFORMANCES:

Attend all performances, and check in with the Technical Director, Production Stage Manager, and IATSE Properties Master to ensure that all props are in order.Dress in a clean and neat fashion for all performances.FT. LAUDERDALE:

Ensure that all props arrive and are in good condition.Check in daily with the Technical Director.Attend performances when requested by the Technical Director.Attend strike and supervise the packing of the props.POST PRODUCTION:

Correct and update the props list noting where the props came from. A copy should go to stage management and the Technical Director.Ensure all props are stored.Desired Start Date:
