About the JobThe Taskrabbit marketing team plays a critical role in driving customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. As the Social Media Specialist, you will build Taskrabbit’s brand personality across social media, establishing a distinct presence that drives brand affinity and helps achieve business goals. In this role, you will manage and execute a robust content strategy across organic social channels, including content creator and influencer partnerships.

The ideal candidate for this role is both creative and strategic, a master wordsmith, and passionate about building and engaging online communities. At the core, you live and breathe social media and have a pulse on all the latest cultural and social trends. You have a passion for content creation, pushing the boundaries and taking smart risks to deliver results.

As a core member of the Marketing team, this individual will work with key stakeholders across creative, paid, owned and earned channels, and partner closely with our Social Media Lead on cross-functional campaigns and social-led initiatives. This role will report directly to the Director of Brand and Communications.

Responsibilities

Bring new content ideas to life by creating still and video content for organic social channels

Manage content planning for Taskrabbit’s organic social media channels, including but not limited to copywriting, planning, scheduling, and publishing

Possess a deep passion for social content, a keen eye for visual storytelling, and a thorough understanding of social media trends and strategies to drive strong engagement

Monitor social media mentions daily and identify opportunities to engage with clients and influencers

Analyze and report on the performance of social content and incorporate insights into future content decisions

Identify influencers and content creators who organically engage with the brand that would be a good fit for partnerships

Collaborate with internal (Creative, PR, CRM etc) teams to develop campaigns and align on messaging, approvals, goals etc.

Support Social Media Lead with end-to-end influencer and content creator partnerships

Qualifications

2-4 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role

Excellent knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter (X), Pinterest, YouTube and general social media best practices

Ability to find fresh ways to make content engaging and exciting for users, experience with tools like CapCut, Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop is a bonus

Collaborates well across teams, with excellent written and communication skills

Problem solver attitude, with demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to ambiguous problems

Analytical mindset with keen ability to measure and demonstrate business impact

Compensation & BenefitsAt Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent and equitable. total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.

The base pay range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, geography, and level.
