ROLE OVERVIEW

This position will work directly with the Vice President of Corporate Communications, and senior business leaders around the company to develop and implement communication strategies that drive engagement and adoption of our Brink's global transformation efforts. In this role, you will play a critical role in driving change and transformation initiatives across our global organization, ensuring effective communication and alignment with our stakeholders.

Scope of activities includes executive leader communications support, communications strategy and campaign development and deployment, communications consulting and planning, key message and communications materials development, coordination of resources, communications training programs and results measurement. To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and project management skills, as well as a deep understanding of change management principles. You must also be a strategic thinker, able to navigate through ambiguity and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate must exercise considerable discretion with regard to information communicated and is expected to handle serious and sensitive subjects with tact, excellent judgment and confidentiality. He/she will encounter a variety of complex problems in the role, and therefore must be able to manage expectations of key stakeholders with conflicting inputs and differing needs to deliver effective and impactful communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
  • Extensive experience in delivering communications and engagement plans for high-impact, sensitive change programs, with strong writing and creative skills.
  • Skilled in developing engagement solutions to maintain colleague involvement during change and securing senior stakeholder buy-in.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement communication strategies supporting organizational change and transformation initiatives.
  • Adept at managing complex, sensitive information and crafting clear, concise, and engaging messaging.
  • Confident influencer with a diplomatic approach, able to advise and gain trust from senior leaders in fast-paced change environments.
  • Capable of challenging conventional thinking, holding gravitas, and being the trusted communications expert in the room.
  • Experienced in creating and monitoring communication and engagement metrics to ensure success and drive necessary changes.
  • Track record of successful change communications in demanding, comparably sized organizations.
  • Confident in multi-channel communication, embracing change, spotting improvements, and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Proficient in creating and delivering effective communication materials, including presentations, memos, emails, and videos.
  • Experienced in managing the production of communication materials, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Skilled in conducting stakeholder analysis and developing targeted communication plans.
  • Proactive in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of communication strategies, making adjustments as needed.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to secure support for change initiatives.
  • Experience in managing town hall meetings, workshops, and other events to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Knowledgeable of industry trends and best practices in change communication to continuously improve strategies.
  • Strong collaboration with HR to align change communication with HR initiatives.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree a plus
  • 10 - 15+ years oral & written internal communications experience
  • 5+ years transformation communications experience
  • 3+ years communicating in a global organization
  • Ability to understand and work within corporate culture, working both independently as a leader and as a contributing member of the Corporate Communications team
  • Strong leadership skills demonstrated through the ability to influence globally in a matrixed organization, develop and drive transformation agendas, and cascading them in global, regional and country organizations
  • Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills
  • Strong creative expression demonstrated through visual presentation and design of communications
  • Use of social media in business environments
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Cultural flexibility and understanding
  • Strong planning and organization skills
