Employee Communications Managing EditorKey Role:Leads daily editorial planning and production, working with a multidisciplinary team to execute an integrated content strategy across the intranet and email newsletters. Manages and maintains the Employee Communications editorial calendar, ensuring a consistent and balanced mix of content that showcases business priorities and inspires purposeful engagement. Oversees weekly production meetings in support of Employee Communications owned properties, ensuring timely delivery of quality, accurate content. Operationalizes a new omnichannel content strategy for Leader Communications products, driving engagement rates across push and pull communications. Evolves production workflows to align with new software, supporting consistent adoption and increased visibility of planned work. Incorporates learnings from analytics and insights, coaching colleagues on recommendations and best practices. Conceptualizes and implements compelling feature stories, leading content brainstorming meetings as needed. Writes and edits copy, ensuring an engaging voice aligned to brand standards and narrative architectures. Serves as deputy to the Editorial Director, maintaining precision in content production and demonstrating excellent judgment under deadline pressure.Basic Qualifications:10+ years of experience in writing or editing for a daily, weekly, or monthly editorial publication or websiteExperience working in a Content Management System, including Web or Email publishingKnowledge of digital media publishing practices, including designing workflows for optimal efficiency in productionAbility to provide writing samples or portfolio of original contentAbility to work comfortably in a fast-paced newsroom environment, effectively prioritizing and managing multiple projects at once, while setting and meeting deadlinesAbility to demonstrate flexibility and creativity under pressure, including problem recognition, avoidance, and resolutionBachelor's degree in Communications or JournalismAdditional Qualifications:Experience with creative and direct-response marketing campaign managementExperience working with contract writers or agency partnersCompensation:At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
