We offer a competitive pay rate and a very complete benefit package; health insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, employee discount, employee assistant program, food provided.Work hoursFull time, on-site, Monday to Friday during regular business hours with adjustments to meet business needs, including some holidays, nights and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.Job SummaryIn alignment with the vision, mission, organizational values, and under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and managing the overall digital marketing and content strategy for Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. The ideal candidate will possess a data-driven marketing mindset and is an out-of-the-box creative thinker, with a proven ability to develop and execute effective digital marketing & social strategies.The salary for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience.Specific Functions/Key Responsibilities:Assist in the development and execution of the hotels’ yearly digital & social media plan in conjunction with the Director of Marketing to support all revenue streamsCollaborate with marketing team and key stakeholders to achieve resort strategies and revenue goals.Manages and maintains online content, including listings, websites, paid social media, and partner sites.Oversee agency partners with Director of Marketing – from strategy and budget, to creative and audience targeting.Optimize digital marketing results, test strategies and compile reporting/analytics.Continually seek improvement of property websites to include best in class visuals, technical integrations, user experience and e-commerce optimization.Consistently analyze websites performance to achieve optimal results; stay up to date with latest technology and best practices.Follow brand guidelines for cohesive online content and storytelling.Partner with property teams to develop and execute collateral.Develop a wide variety of promotional email marketing campaigns, including guest lifecycle and trigger emails.Regularly audit & ensure all owned marketing channels are up to date with current and accurate information.Support the Director of Marketing in maintaining monthly budgets by ensuring all expenses pertaining to responsible channels are properly allocated and accounted for in Adaco.Author creative messaging and/or copywriting for online communications, partner referral websites, social media channels and public relations opportunities.Develop and maintain a media contact database, including all pertinent information and regular updates on each contact, press release and coverage received.Nurture and manage key relationships with public relations and social media consultants and agencies, and other appropriate third parties.Author creative messaging and/or copywriting for online communications, partner referral websites, social media channels and public relations opportunities.Personal Characteristics:Analytic thinker and strong executer comfortable immersing in detailsInnate intelligence, common sense, confident and self-assuredElevated level of energy, passion, and creativityAppetite for information and problem solverFocused and well organized; able to prioritize; flexible/multi-task and delegate effectivelySelf-directed and disciplined at working independentlyProactive, action-oriented; works smartJob Qualifications:Hands-on experience with CRM software and content managementExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) requiredProficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and ExcelExperience & EducationBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred2-4 years’ experience in marketingAll duties and requirements stated are essential job functions.
