The Marketing Automation Specialist manages all outbound marketing programs and lead generation campaigns via email, lead generation web forms, and landing pages, to execute nurturing and revenue-driving automated campaigns. This role requires knowledge of marketing automation software (Eloqua), email, CRM, and web analytics. The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for ensuring successful cross-platform integrations for data and campaign management, by working closely with the Analyst- Marketing and Demand Generation as well as other key stakeholders in the Organization.Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsCreate and maintain email templates based on branding guidelines.Manage extensive project workload on a daily basis.Work directly with Marketing Managers to establish and execute email/SMS content calendars, automation campaigns, and one-off emails from start to finish, to support all departments across the organization.Responsible for designing, coding/building, proofing and executing all emails for Minnesota Wild; while providing basic support for Xcel Energy Center, RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins Auditorium email needs.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and coordinate copy, graphics, and deadlines, while meeting desired outcomes.Identify and implement testing methodologies (A/B) to optimize campaigns.Collaborate with data analysts to identify key data points to ingest to marketing platform for enhanced personalization and customer journey automation.Execute email marketing campaigns (B2B/B2C) on behalf of internal clients from concept to execution, including: coding, copywriting, personalization, audience segmentation, campaign automation and design, testing, and evaluation of automation effectiveness.Use CSS and HTML proficiently to build within email marketing platforms and execute testing to ensure best user functionality and responsive design regardless of email client and device used by the reader.Identify and troubleshoot the root cause of email issues and provide solutions on design, usability and functionality based on best practices, latest trends and CAN-SPAM laws.Assist in additional marketing builds regarding form and landing pages for lead generation capture.Other tasks and projects as business dictates and requires.Perform other duties as assigned.Position RequirementsFormal Education & CertificationDegree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field preferred, not required.Knowledge & ExperienceProficient in HTML, CSS and Adobe Creative Suite required.Experience with marketing automation and email service provider technology (Eloqua a plus).Basic working knowledge of how to use tracking links properly.Strong responsive and UX design, graphic design and content management skills.Personal AttributesExtremely organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Solution-oriented problem solving with strong project management skills.Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.Positive attitude and self-motivated.Work ConditionsAbility to work traditional office hours as well as nights, weekends and holidays as needed for home games and events.Work is primarily sedentary.Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.Lifting up to 25 lbs.
