The Marketing Specialist willcontribute to the successful concepting, creation, launch and evaluationof marketing campaigns, including integrated advertising tactics(display, PPC, paid social, print, OOH, underwriting, video,audio, etc). This position is also responsible for promotionalcopywriting, including headlines, emails, web content and more.Through both internal and cross-campus collaboration, the specialist willuphold brand standards within and outside of the University. The successfulcandidate will be a team player, have excellent writing skills, strongattention to detail and good organizational and project management skills.Essential FunctionsMaintain an active and comprehensive understanding of current, past andupcoming campaign tactics.Manage full lifecycle of limited-run marketing campaigns, from planning toexecution and reporting, in collaboration with social media,communications, web, multimedia and visual design teams.Write marketing/communications plans and project creative briefs thatclearly outline project objectives and deliverables.Develop project production timelines according to department priorities andcapacity of all involved parties and departments.Coordinate and negotiate with advertising vendors to secure campaign buysand traffic contracts through all phases of University approval.Write copy for digital advertising, print collateral, webpages and othermaterials as needed.Independently set up, monitor and report on active campaign work,utilizing division project management system.Collaborate with Marketing Analytics Specialist to create and delivercomprehensive campaign reports that both demonstrate performance of completedtactics and make recommendations for future efforts.Maintain and organize project and campaign files, including digital filesand physical samples of print pieces.Act as a brand ambassador with internal and external collaborators.Support special projects as they arise.Occasional event support.Occasional social media support.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesFamiliarit with brand and campaign marketing best practices.Ability to write marketing copy in a brand-focused tone and voice, anddemonstrable understanding how those can apply to distinct tactics andaudiences.Thinking critically about campaign analytics and interpreting data to makerecommendations for future efforts.Good interpersonal and communication skills with diverse internal andexternal constituents.Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure disparate needsare considered and organizational goals are achieved.Meticulous attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects.Strong organizational, prioritization and project managements skills.Solid competency with Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.Required QualificationsBachelors degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications orrelated field.2-4 years of professional experience supporting integrated marketingcampaign efforts.Preferred QualificationsExperience placing paid media/advertising.Experience coordinating with external vendors.Familiarity with the higher education market.Experience with project management software, such as Wrike, a plus.
