Digital Marketing and Communications Manager

The Ellis School, the only pre-kindergarten–grade 12 independent day school for girls in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a full-time, on-site Digital Marketing and Communications Manager.Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, and in collaboration with other key stakeholders, the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager oversees all aspects of The Ellis School’s digital communications, including: management of email workflows and performance data in HubSpot; writing and management of public-facing website content; writing and management of intranet resource board content; and community-wide email communications. This role will also assist the Director with: digital advertising; writing and project management for both digital and print publications, such as enrollment materials and the Ellis Magazine.Candidates for this role should have an understanding of how to identify target audiences and understand user behavior, and experience with lead generation, search engine optimization, information architecture, data analytics; and good design sense. This is an on-site, salaried position reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications.Responsibilities:

Assist with the execution of the school’s strategic marketing plan by assuming the role of project lead on digital communications priorities, as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Communications.Engage stakeholders and work collaboratively with colleagues, other school departments, and outside vendors in order to continuously improve the School’s online communication methods and presence.Create user-friendly documentation and training materials for content developers across campus and possess the ability to communicate complex technical information.Create updates, analysis, and optimization of online communications using CRM, CMS, and related online systems.Track performance of digital marketing and communication efforts and provide regular metrics reports via Hubspot and Blackbaud.Format graphics, documents, and multimedia assets for web use.Assist with identifying, creating, writing, and reviewing news stories across multiple platforms—including for Ellis’ website, email newsletters, and magazine.Keep pace with industry trends and developments and present research, best practices, and recommendations for further innovation.Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years professional experience in web maintenance, digital marketing, or project management.Excellent working knowledge in general user experience design and fundamentals, HTML, CSS, CMS, and CRM systems, preferably in Blackbaud OnProducts.Solid knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, HubSpot, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Apps.Enthusiasm about working in a school setting.High level of initiative, proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team, good time-management skills, and ability to work within tight deadlines.Superb written/oral communication skills and experience communicating with diverse audiences.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required.To Apply:
