Email Marketing Specialist

(based in our Cranston, RI office) who leads all lifecycle communication and engagement through the development and execution of Email and SMS campaigns.

The Email Marketing Specialist will maximize customer engagement and revenue through the development of personalized 1-1 email and SMS strategies as part of multi-touch digital and print campaigns to grow the Ross-Simons business. Success will be measured by incremental revenue generation, growth in customer base, frequency of purchase, and customer interaction as generated by the email/SMS channels.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop & maintain the email and SMS marketing calendars, with a high attention to detailCollaborate across Marketing, Creative and Production to drive strong results in the email and SMS channel, supporting promotional, seasonal, channel and loyalty in a customer-first way.Manage end-to-end email processes. Including, but not limited to, email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns.Set-up, manage, and lead the QA of site promotion activity and merchandising events, ensuring the customer experience and merchandising (including pricing) are compelling, accurate, and in line with the seasonal plan.Stay in the forefront of email/SMS marketing best practices, developing roadmap to execute a robust test and learn cadence to improve results.Share learnings across the organization, and advocate for new ideas that drive growth.Interface with email/SMS technology vendor/partners to adapt products and solutions to improve email program performance.Ensure flawless execution in a quickly moving environment, embracing a fast pace of changeProactively identify areas of opportunity for email/SMS to drive stronger performance and better support brand and financial goals.Experience and Required Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in email & SMS marketing, preferably in retail/direct-to-consumerBachelor’s degreeIn-depth knowledge of email marketing and best practices, including developing automated and lifecycle programsExpertise partnering with creative teams to deliver elevated marketing contentExperience with segmentation strategies and campaign management systemAbility to juggle multiple, competing, high priority projects – identifying creative solutionsStrong analytical thinking, written, verbal and presentation skills, able to synthesize complex information into crucial findings and articulate learnings across the organization.Organized and proactive with strong attention to detailStrong interpersonal relationship building skills
