is on a mission to empower developers and agencies building exceptional WordPress websites and online experiences. We are curating a comprehensive suite of tools, hosting solutions, training resources, and support services from across Automattic's product portfolio—all tailored to fuel agency success. With this program, we aim to foster a thriving ecosystem where agencies can leverage our full platform capabilities to elevate their client offerings, streamline operations, and drive sustainable growth.

The Automattic for Agencies Marketing Wrangler will be responsible for devising and executing a strategic marketing plan that aligns with and amplifies the program's objectives. This role will be crucial in orchestrating content marketing strategies and fostering agency engagement to secure Automattic's position as a leader in the partnership program space.

Responsibilities:Key tasks for the Marketing Wrangler include:

Crafting and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy that integrates all agency-focused products and services under the Automattic umbrella.

Contributing to and supporting a robust Go-To-Market strategy that aligns offerings with agency needs, ensuring a coherent customer journey and enhancing program differentiation.

Producing compelling, relevant content across formats and channels to boost awareness and drive acquisition, including blog posts, case studies, town halls, and instructional materials.

Ensuring consistent tone and voice across all marketing materials and channels across business units.

Developing and managing social media strategies and organic search tactics aligned with overall marketing goals.

Overseeing asset creation, ad copywriting, and execution of paid marketing campaigns, including keyword research and landing page optimization.

Utilizing analytics to refine strategies and improve conversion rates through testing, data, and agency feedback.

Designing and executing email campaigns to nurture prospective and existing agency customers.

Working closely with business units to ensure a cohesive digital marketing strategy, providing regular performance updates and reporting.

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in developing and executing marketing strategies, particularly for agency-focused products.

Proven ability to create compelling marketing content across multiple formats that align with program goals and drive customer acquisition.

In-depth knowledge of social media marketing and organic search strategies, including managing campaigns across different platforms.

Ability to leverage marketing analytics tools to refine strategies, measure campaign success, and improve conversion rates.

Experience managing email marketing campaigns, from list segmentation and automated workflows to copywriting and A/B testing.

Ability to manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring consistency and alignment with program objectives.

Direct or indirect experience working with or for agencies and/or understanding their unique needs and challenges is preferred.

As a part of our fully distributed team, you can live anywhere in the world. Effectiveness in this role will mean occasionally shifting hours across weekends and odd hours to best coordinate with our global team.

Salary range: $80,000-$200,000 USD
