Mt. Zion Baptist Church, a vibrant and growing congregation in a rural community, is seeking a dedicated and passionate leader to serve in multiple capacities. This individual will play a crucial role in our church by leading Wednesday night Bible studies for our teens, guiding worship on Sunday mornings, and being a positive role model for our younger children. Most importantly, they should embody and share the love of Jesus with all members of our community.
The role involves developing and leading engaging Bible studies and activities for teenagers on Wednesday evenings. We seek someone who can foster a supportive environment where teens can grow in their faith, ask questions, and build strong relationships with one another.
On Sunday mornings, the individual will plan and lead blended worship services, incorporating both traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs. Collaborating with musicians and singers, they will create a worship experience that draws the congregation closer to God.
Serving as a spiritual mentor and positive example for the children of the church is another key aspect of this role. The candidate should engage with children during church services and activities, making them feel welcomed and valued within the church family.
Beyond these specific responsibilities, the ideal candidate will be an active and visible presence within the church and the broader community, participating in church events, outreach activities, and fostering relationships with church members of all ages.
We are looking for someone with a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to living out the Gospel in everyday life. A passion for working with teens and children is essential, along with a heart for guiding them in their spiritual journeys. Musical talent is also important, with proficiency in leading worship, whether through singing or playing an instrument, and the ability to blend traditional and contemporary styles. Leadership skills, approachability, and a caring and compassionate nature are all qualities that will help the candidate succeed in this role.
