Product Designer

Brevite is looking for a creative and experienced Senior Product Designer to lead the design of our premium line of bags. In this role, you will be responsible for designing innovative, functional, and stylish bags that resonate with our brand's aesthetic and meet the needs of our customers. You will work to bring new ideas to life, ensuring that every product we launch is both beautiful and highly functional.Brevite is known for crafting high-quality work, photography, and travel bags that elevate every journey. If you have a strong portfolio of bag designs and are excited about the opportunity to shape the future of our product line, we invite you to join our team.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn full design & development cycle, from initial market research, designing, techpacking, prototyping, and an eventual final golden sample sign-off.Collaborate closely with Product Development, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to ensure designs meet business goals and manufacturing requirements.Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform design decisions, ensure product market fit, and stay ahead of industry trends.Select materials, hardware, and other components that align with the brand's quality and aesthetic standards.Oversee the sampling process, providing feedback and making necessary adjustments to ensure the final product meets design specifications.Present design concepts and prototypes, articulating the design vision and gathering feedback.Work collaboratively across the Brevite team to improve the customer product experience.Visit suppliers overseas (Asia) multiple times per year to ensure that timelines and quality standards are met.Work with the Co-Founder to provide ideas for the product roadmap.Location and HoursOnsite at our office in Dumbo, Brooklyn (NYC).Brevite's hours are M-F, 9 am-5 pmQualification5+ years of design experience in handbags, backpacks, and/or sneakers. You can hit the ground running to design bags, and even help us learn a thing or two. You have a deep understanding of materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes related to bag design.Experience working with overseas manufacturers.
