Job Summary

Battelle's Health Research and Analytics (HRA) business line is currently seeking a temporary

Web Developer

to support our government customer in

Portsmouth, VA

(remote available) through April 2025 (with the possibility of extension). This Public Health (PH) program enables our government customers to maximize readiness through force health protection (FHP) strategies and solutions for current and potential Public Health (PH) threats. The core scientific and technical capabilities and product lines in this program are to conduct Health Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Analysis; Disease and Injury Prevention; and PH Consultation and Support for the benefit of active-duty service members, retirees, and their families. Battelle shall enable these capabilities and product lines by providing Scientific and Technical Information (STI) deliverables, by performing Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and other Research and Development (R&D) related analytical services.

Designs, builds, maintains, monitors, and improves websites. Analyzes complex web and social media data and provides reports and recommendations for improvements.

Responsibilities

Designs, builds and maintains websites using web-related technologies and techniques.Identifies functional needs and systems requirements and performs complex website design and analysis based on user requirements.Develops storyboards for customers to visualize proposed design and changes.Tests, monitors and improves performance of websites.Prepares graphics and videos for web and social media.Customizes AFPIMS and WordPress master pages and themes.Analyzes complex web and social media data and provides reports and recommendations for improvements.Maintains and enhances current professional and technical knowledge, contributes to team effort, and secures client confidence to provide quality service.Provides web development expertise and develops solutions to a variety of complex problems.Key Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Information Technology, computer science or related field; 5 years of experience in web development; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS / CSS3 and Bootstrap.Ability to code without use of editor.Experience with WordPress content management systems website development.Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools.Experience with AFPIMS content management system.Familiarity with AWS and Adobe Creative Cloud softwareAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).Benefits: Live an Extraordinary LifeWe care about your well-being, not just on the job.
