The

Grant Writer

is responsible for finding funding opportunities for MCHS and writing polished proposals to earn grant money. Their duties include researching deadlines, drafting grant requests and submitting reports for approval.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of MCHS.Determine proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal, attending strategy meetings, participating in relevant staff meetings, and developing a strong understanding of the organizations work, programs, priorities, innovations, mission, and results.Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.Maintain up to date database of grant prospects and submission deadlines. Ensuring timely submission of all grant applications.Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in English, communications, creative writing or related area.
