The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our team of professionals.Duties include:Leads meetings with internal and external clients to discuss strategy, intended impact, project scope, deliverables, and timelines. Ensures clear communication and understanding of project goals to deliver targeted and effective visual solutions.Oversees production timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.Leads initiatives to bring the medical schools brand to life visually, creating compelling and innovative design solutions that resonate with internal and external audiences.Strategizes with the HWCOM marketing team to integrate graphic work across all promotional areas, including publications, brochures, websites, interactive designs, event marketing, social media, print, online, outdoor, video, and more, ensuring a cohesive brand experience.Designs a diverse range of layouts, iconography, font treatments, package designs, graphic web designs, logos, and illustrations, applying advanced design principles and industry trends.Collaborates closely with the HWCOM Marketing team to conceptualize and develop innovative ideas for upcoming campaigns and projectsWorks in collaboration with the Division of Strategic Communications, Government, and External Affairs to develop collateral development, advertising and promotion materials that effectively represent the University's brand and messaging.Consults with clients on presentations and media forms prior to job initiation, offering expert advice to facilitate the best possible outcomes and ensuring projects are aligned with client objectives and brand standards.Provides high-level artistic guidance and direction for content creation.Stays current with industry best practices and trends, applying advanced working knowledge of industry-standard print and presentation software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver), as well as PowerPoint, Keynote, QuarkXPress, Flash, and Director.Responsible for converting existing low-resolution artwork or sketches from designers into print-ready layered files and for producing high-quality still and animated graphics for web banners.Maintains job tickets in an orderly fashion, accurately recording time and duties.Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and five (5) years of experience. One (1) year of experience overseeing a team or projects.Departmental Requirements

A portfolio link of related design workMust have excellent Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator skills in a Mac- based environment.Desired Qualifications

Preflight and proof layouts prior/post printing press.Experience in searching and purchasing stock photographs to illustrate ads and news stories.Flexibility in managing projects and deadlines.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Job Category
