The Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join their creative team. Working under the direction of a Design Manager, this position will be responsible for creating both digital and print-based graphics for Corporate Partnerships and Business Development for both the Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club, as well as for Delta Center and other Jazz and Hockey projects. Our ideal candidate is technically sound, passionate, hard-working and detail-oriented, and is knowledgeable in the latest trends and practices in graphic design. Each candidate must provide a design portfolio for review.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Create digital and print-based graphics for Corporate Partnerships, Business Development, Delta Center, and other Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club projectsCreate visual mockups of sales assets using Photoshop and IllustratorHelp assure brand consistencyUnderstand process and be timelyBe a good teammate, contribute positively to a winning culture, and be respectfulDemonstrate world-class customer service-and if you don't directly interact with the customer, support those who doProtect the legal, financial and moral well-being of the companyExemplify the Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club brand principlesEmbrace a culture of inclusion and diversity where guests and team members feel welcomed, valued, and heardOther duties as assignedCOMPETENCIES:

4-year degree in graphic design or related field1-2 years applied design-related experience, or a body of work that reflects an equivalent experience, including some prior management experienceWeb portfolio demonstrating strong skills in graphic design, branding, layout design, typography, photo editing, and print with attention to detailSpeed and proficiency with current Adobe Creative Suite on MacOSAbility to work well in a team environmentAbility to work well on quick turnarounds and short deadlinesAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work nights and weekendsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
