Our client, a leading Fortune 100 credit union, is seeking a Lead Copy Editor/Writer to manage and lead the development of communications, with a focus on HR communications.

Description

To manage, influence, and lead development for communications and project management for business unit program initiatives and communications with focus on HR communications which includes Talent Acquisition and event communications for our Gala/Annual Awards. Develop, implement, evaluate, and lead communications to comply with best practices to ensure timely and effective channel/program delivery and administration. To manage and facilitate implementation and coordination of multiple, large, and highly complex programs that affect and involve business unit activities. Ensure management review of initiatives from concept through planning, analysis, design, and testing, implementation, and transition phases. Create, design and manage program deliverables and solutions on schedule and within scope and budget.

Responsibilities

Focus for the role will be in HR Communications - Talent Acquisition Communications and Gala/Annual Awards. Campaign development and execution, content development and talent branding initiatives to target and engage top talent and enhance overall employer brand awareness.Project manage and edit copy to ensure accuracy, proper grammar, consistent brand voice, appropriate tone, adherence to style guidelines and channel best practices are employedProvide guidance and feedback to team to assist in understanding and implementation of best practices and grammar rulesProvide consultative editorial development services to clients to ensure accuracy, consistent brand voice, appropriate tone, adherence to style guidelines and channel best practices are employedMay commission and coordinate content production by outside vendors and freelancers; edit drafts to fit business unit needs, improve readability and adherence to our clients best practicesMaintain a uniform editorial style to support our clients brand and guiding principlesServe as business unit consultant and liaison for internal communication projectsDevelop cohesive communication strategies for company-wide initiatives; produce effective and timely deliverablesMay manage vendor relationships, including budget analysis and planningCreate conceptual approaches and copy solutions to increase engagement, brand recognition and meeting goalsProvide creative solutions for campaigns, product/project launches and other initiativesKeep current and inform team of organizational terms, industry standards, regulator, and copyright considerations, and remain up to date on communication trends and best practices to enhance creativity and effectiveness of communicationsMay be a resource for creation of campaign brief insights, key messages, value propositions, and communications strategy.Ensure communication content is tailored and aligned by audience and in accordance with our clients strategic initiativesChampion our clients brand; create, contribute, implement, update, mentor, and train others on brand style guides, messaging documents, and preparedness communicationsPerform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To be considered, employees are required to reside within the continental United States and be able to work a W2 Contract without sponsorship indefinitely. At this time we can only accept the following: US Citizens, TN Visas, GC Holder, GC EAD.Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or the equivalent of training, education, and experienceExperience editing and writing communications with significant impactAdvanced knowledge of marketing, advertising, direct response, and corporate communications principlesExperience managing and leading multiple projects, resolving conflicting request, meeting changing requirements/priorities while meeting organizational goalsExperience creating conceptual approaches and copy solutionsStrong oral presentations skills and ability to articulate high-level concepts into understandable languageExperience editing using AP StyleExperience writing for a variety of channels and ability to change tone while maintaining brand voiceAdvanced organizational, time management, project management and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as a member of a team to achieve project goalsAdvanced relationship management skills to gain confidence and cooperation of team members, clients, and outside vendorsExperience with word processing and editorial applications softwareDesired : Advanced knowledge of all communication production processesDesired : Advanced knowledge of financial services industry and products#LI-SM6#LI-REMOTE#DICE
