The Opportunity

Lesley University's Humanities and Social Sciences Department is looking for a qualified instructor to teach the following course: CWRIT 1101 - Writing as Thinking and Process, in person Tuesday 6:45-9:15pm

Writing as Thinking and Process is designed to help students develop writing and critical thinking skills essential for effective communication - in college, the workplace, and the community. Students move through the various stages of the writing process, including outlining, drafting, feedback, and revision. Writing assignments include exercises, paragraphs, analytical essays, and a research paper. Courses engage students through a variety of sources based on themes. Ultimately, the course values the act of writing and thinking as critical to democratic citizenship.

Qualities and CapabilitiesA successful candidate will have:

Master's degree or PhD, with experience teaching in Writing and English.Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Proved experience teaching writing courses.

Must be authorized to work in the United States; if you hold a visa, your visa status must allow you to work at Lesley University.
