Associate Design Director

Associate Design Director with WorkandCo International, Inc. d/b/a Work & Co (Brooklyn, NY)Associate Design Director driving the user experience strategy and design direction of products. Responsibilities extend beyond crafting visually appealing interfaces; lead cross-functional teams in conceptualizing, prototyping, and iterating on designs to meet user needs and business objectives. The role involves conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering feedback to inform design decisions, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user journey. Responsible for collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant, user-centric solutions, while also managing and guiding junior designers to foster their growth and skill development. Ultimately, will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of products, delivering impactful experiences that resonate with users and drive business success.Supervises 2 Designers, 1 Senior Designer.Telecommuting permitted. Reports to headquarters in Brooklyn, NY.15% travel required, domestically and internationally.Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field. Requires 4 years of related experience. Must have some experience in each of the following skills: Design and produce a global iconography system for use online and in-store for home furnishings retailers; Develop auditing techniques to ensure accessibility compliance across a digital design ecosystem for home furnishing retailers; Designing and prototyping for in-store kiosk displays; Crafting a cutting-edge in-store design model that empowers customers to scan directly for product information; Creating digital design proposals for online presence and e-commerce storefronts for the fashion industry; Prototyping digital designs for a multichannel video programming distributor; and Design and prototyping tools including Figma, Protopie, Figma prototyping, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Framer.Offered salary range: $155,688 - $180,000 per yearTo apply, send resume to: designworkopps@work.co * Please note: For 'Experience Required', please refer to the Requirements listed above.
