Job Purpose

As the Senior Content Manager reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead our content strategy by building your team and establishing an editorial center of excellence that consistently delivers expertise, authority, and trustworthiness (EEAT) through SEO-optimized content for the legal tech niche. Your mission is to produce content that stands out as the best on the Internet for our target audience, driving significant growth in traffic and conversions.

Key Responsibilities:Content Leadership:

Ideate, create, and manage a content strategy that aligns with the latest algorithm changes and delivers measurable growth in traffic and conversions.Lead the content team's staffing strategy, including screening, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.Develop and nurture a high-performing team of content experts who operate autonomously and thrive in an environment of creative freedom and decentralized decision-making.Lead by example: set aggressive targets, drive productivity, inspire high performers, and raise the bar for those around you.

Hands-On Implementation:

Take ownership of content strategy execution, confidently rolling up your sleeves to deliver high-quality work.Stay ahead of the curve on SEO best practices and algorithm changes, applying this knowledge to continuously optimize content performance.

Analytics & Optimization:

Leverage your expertise with analytics tools and data management to monitor, track, and report on content performance metrics.Use data-driven insights to refine and enhance content strategies, ensuring ongoing improvement and optimization.

Editorial Excellence:

Establish efficient editorial processes and best practices that support the content delivery strategy.Identify, evaluate, and collaborate with industry legal experts to enhance the authority and trustworthiness of our content.

This role is ideal for a confident, hands-on leader with a proven track record of driving content-driven growth. If you're ready to take full ownership of a content strategy and deliver real results, we want to hear from you.Requirements

You're a strong leader, effective communicator, and team player, with courage in your convictions, willing to defend your ideas and push back when necessary.A minimum of 5+ years in content with at least 3+ years in a leadership role driving growth at a high level - ideally within a YMYL niche.You've coached and mentored several Content, Editorial, and SEO marketers and know how to nurture and mentor talent.You've created content strategies that drive exponential growth, and have a playbook for building the team and processes needed for execution (including end-to-end content production lines)Proven experience managing large budgets, accountable for labor spend, software and resources, and any outsourced support you may need.Data driven and have proven ability to make decisions on Content through the use of business dataExceptional project management skills and ability to juggle competing demands - you stay organized and know how to prioritizeGood understanding of content management systems, ability to determine requirements based on the features and functionality of the CMS.Experience in the legal industry and a deep understanding of Business documents and contracts is preferred.Benefits
