Focusing on overseeing game features or systems rather than leading people. They promote best practices, increase testing improvement, define, evolve testing procedures, ensure accurate execution and reporting by the QA team.This role is based in LA at the Ripple Effect Studio. You'll support the creation of amazing new Battlefield Experiences while reporting to the Local QV Development Manager.Main Responsibilities:Oversee the quality for important gameplay features and systems.Define and maintain test strategies, ensuring accurate status and risk reporting.Represent QA within the development team; be visible, vocal, and integrated.Participate in daily stand-ups and share updates with the QA team.Develop an understanding of gameplay systems and requirements; share updates with the QA team.Perform design testing reviews to identify bugs and concerns early.Coordinate with remote test teams to ensure quality service delivery.Lead qualitative feedback processes, providing applicable feedback to development teams.Support internal and external playtests, ensuring feedback is captured.Use telemetry to measure user behavior against design intentions.Use development tools to guide issue identification and promote defect prevention.Identify high-value automation and telemetry requirements.Interpret data to inform decisions on product quality and QA service delivery.Champion opportunities to enhance current processes.

Main Requirements:

3+ years of experience with quality.Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.Game or software development QA experience across multiple titles.Knowledge of gaming consoles and systems.Experience with white-box/gray-box testing techniques.Experience mentoring peers.Provide detailed qualitative feedback.Experience performing design testing reviews.

Desirable:

Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, DevTest, TestRail, Perforce, or Git.Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like Power Bi or Tableau.Experience with game engine editors like Frostbite, Unreal Engine, or Unity.Experience with Agile methodologies (Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban).Programming, scripting, or database experience (e.g., C#, Python, JavaScript, T-SQL, MySQL).Experience with test automation and telemetry systems.

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):$82,500 - $122,900 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
