JOB SUMMARY:

As a member of the management team, the Marketing and Communication Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategic marketing and communication initiatives that promote the mission and goals of The Community Blood Center. This role involves creating engaging content, managing campaigns, and enhancing the center's public image to drive blood donation and community engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (o

ther duties may be assigned):Strategic Planning and Execution: -Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to support the center's objectives and enhance public awareness.-Create and manage annual marketing plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.Content Creation and Management: -Oversee the creation of compelling content for various channels including social media, websites, newsletters, and press releases.-Ensure that all content aligns with the center's brand, mission, and messaging standards.Campaign Management: -Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns aimed at increasing blood donations and community engagement.-Analyze campaign performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.Public Relations: -Cultivate and maintain relationships with media, community partners, and stakeholders.-Prepare and distribute press releases, organize press conferences, and handle media inquiries.Digital and Social Media: -Manage the center's digital presence, including social media profiles and website content.-Develop strategies for growing online engagement and driving traffic to the center's digital platforms.Community Outreach: -Collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and schools to organize promotional events.-Represent the center at community events and forums to raise awareness and build partnerships.Internal Communications: -Develop internal communication strategies to keep team members and volunteers informed and engaged.-Coordinate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication within the organization.Team Leadership and Development: -Supervise, coach, and mentor marketing and communications team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.-Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.Reporting and Analysis: -Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing and communication initiatives.-Utilize data and feedback to continuously improve strategies and processes.JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on non-profit or healthcare sectors preferred.Proven experience in managing marketing campaigns, content creation, and public relations.Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and website management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and engage diverse audiences.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
