We’re looking for the best to come join us and become part of a world-class team.To us excellence is not a skill, but an attitude!What we are looking for:Striking Distance Studios is looking for a talented UX Designer with multiplayer experience to be responsible for the interface aspects of an unannounced AAA title in UE5.Responsibilities:This is a hands on, in-engine role. From UX/UI prototypes to final content you will be responsible for developing high level vision and roadmaps that drive the implementation of the game teams ideas.Creation of wireframes and mockups, user flows and efficient transitions for all in-game UI.Champion intuitive UI player experiences.Work with a multidisciplinary team of designers, artists, programmers, and producers to build new content and user experience systems.Define best practices for the discipline, from structured processes to workflow and content standards in order to implement content within UX/UI.As an expert user, help test new features and tools before they are deployed to the rest of the team.Validate, playtest and respond to feedbackQualifications:5+ years of experience as a multiplayer UI/UX designer or programmer.Have shipped at least 1 AAA title as a UI/UX designer or programmer.Experience with Unreal Engine, UMG, Widget Blueprint.Experience with Figma, Visio, Miro or other similar tools for wireframing and collaboration.Thorough understanding of how to design and optimize UX/UI systems, features, and player experiences.Proven ability to conceptualize, create and implement game concepts using various tools, technology and visual language.Excellent creative, analytical and organizational skills with proven ability to write, communicate and maintain detailed design documentation throughout project life cycle.Demonstrative proof of an open-minded, progressive thinker who is flexible, energetic and driven with the ability to overcome obstacles and challenges with working solutions.A deep understanding of UX/UI trends across multiple genres and platforms.Comfortable in a highly iterative workflow/process.A demonstrable love / passion for playing and making video games.A highly communicative and collaborative disposition.In California, the expected salary range for this position is $100,000-$125,000.
