Job summary

To support Partners for HOME’s mission and strategic priorities by working in close partnership with C-Suite leadership to:

Develop a robust and creative collective impact development strategy for Partners for HOME and Atlanta Continuum of Care initiatives and strategic plan

Develop and implement a strategic Marketing and Communication plan for Partners for HOME and the Continuum of Care

Essential Functions:

Drive Resources and Achieve Results

Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with community and business leaders, donors, and fund recipients to create a collective impact model of funding strategic initiatives

Meet annual fundraising goals per the development of a strategic development plan

Develop and maintain a successful corporate, foundation, and individual solicitation program, including identifying priorities and prospects, and building resources and connections to implement the plan.

Create and manage a portfolio of corporate, foundation, and individual prospects, communicate with current and prospective donors to build relationships and secure grants and donations

Oversee all grant writing and submissions including the annual HUD CoC NOFA

Build Relationships and Inspire Investment

Convey energy, meaning, and importance of PFH and the CoC mission and work

Partner with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Program Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Board members and others for donor cultivation and solicitation

Meet donor needs by providing education, strategies and opportunities while building rapport

Recognize the power of effective stewardship and development; implement relationship plans for donors of all giving levels

Engage with donors year-round, recognizing impact of gift, communicating progress and results, inspiring involvement and ensuring quality experience

Collect and record relevant donor and volunteer information to forge partnerships, increase engagement and sustain relationships

Participate in community activities which contribute to the acquisition and retention of donors

Effective, Engaging, and Innovative Communications Plan Development and Execution

Create annual strategic communications plan and oversee execution of that plan with contracted communications experts

Distill complex information into a simple, clear message using examples, stories, and impact data that are relevant and resonate with stakeholders

Develop strategic briefing and communication materials

Write clearly and concisely, using multiple platforms to reach diverse audiences, effective public speaker and presenter

Execute the development and implementation of social marketing, public and media relations, website content, communication/resource development materials and brand management

Organizational Leadership

Work closely with leadership to create and advance the CoC strategic plan and PFH business plan

Value and leverage the power of external networks and relationships

Partner with CPO to identify key areas of impact for development and communication opportunities

Conduct, analyze and interpret internal and external research to support planning and development of organizational resource development and marketing strategies and plan

Progressive thinker, understanding philanthropic trends and best practices in donor-centered fund-raising

Effective presenter, active listener, open to new ideas, keeps supporters informed and engaged

Self-directed, pro-active and holds one-self accountable

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of progressive experience in a similar role.

Comprehensive knowledge in nonprofit fundraising, communications, and marketing

Ability to maintain knowledge and professional development in market research, business trends and fundraising trends that may impact needs and resources

Experience working in homelessness field preferred

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Passion for the pursuit of creating a community where homelessness is rare, brief and nonrecurring and commitment to principles of Housing First

Experience with HUD federal funding requirements and programs

Proven ability and experience with grant writing both public and private

Able to develop and produce marketing and communication materials

Strategic thinker, innovator and collaborator

Emotionally intelligent leader with strong interpersonal skills, inclusive and agile

Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate mission, goals and impact effectively and persuasively

Able to work (and thrive) under pressure

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will oversee contractor relationships for communications and marketing work.

Compensation

Partners for HOME offers a competitive compensation package. Salary range is $99,200-$105,000.
