Structural Designer/Structural Engineer (Wood Focus)

with a structural engineering firm based out at

Houston, TX.

They specialize in the engineering of foundations and superstructures for single/multi-family, student housing, commercial, parking, financial, hospitality, worship and elderly housing structures.

Key Responsibilities:Develop detailed

structural designs and drawings for wood structures,

including framing plans, elevations, and connection details.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to develop efficient and cost-effective structural solutions.Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the safety and stability of

wood structures.Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with design intent.Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, calculations, and construction specifications.

Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in

structural design, with a focus on wood structures

for residential projects.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
