is looking for an
Associate Designer
to join the Design team in Miami.
The
Associate Designer
will play a pivotal role in our design process, managing everything from seasonal design and product development to bulk submission and final production fit approval.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and can work independently. The Associate Designer must be able to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and handle feedback with professionalism. Passionate about design and organized in their approach, this individual needs to be excited about taking a hands-on role within a design team with the goal of brand growth achieved through innovative and chic design work.
This role is based at our Miami office and reports to the Head of Design.
Responsibilities Include
Support Head of Design with designing and developing the following categories – cut and sew, fully fashioned sweater knits, made in LA t-shirt program, and embellished wovensWill provide support in the following; tech packs, design, sketching, and weekly linesheet updates.Preliminary design research and assemble presentation boards for meetings.Attend and assist in fittings by updating design comments with factories and sketch updates.JOOR upload, including style updates, etc.Organize samples for design meetings.Assisting on set of our quarterly seasonal photoshootsExtra hand with general design studio management and general tidiness and organization along with the rest of the team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design.3-5 years of experience in a Women’s Contemporary brand.Tech savvy with expertise in Excel, Illustrator, and Photoshop.Garment sketching on the computer is a must.Knowledge of creating tech packs, apparel construction and design.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Must be a team player, have the ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and take initiative.Experience communicating with offshore manufacturingInternational travel experience to manufacturing facilities is a plus
Compensation
Salary range starts at $60,000
