Your responsibilities:Create design direction and fabric/trim selections into designs for upcoming seasons.Create original flat sketches based on upcoming trends and mainstream designsWork with sample rooms and vendors to monitor and track samples, ensuring information on tech pack is accurately translated into development samplesResearch trends and bring in new ideas through competitive shopping, forecasting websites, and runway showsResearch and source on latest trend of fabric, trim, and embellishments and present to the teamCreate tech packs with detailed specifications that include garment measurements, construction details, and trim/fabric informationCreate cost sheets and product lists on Excel before the season launchOrganize all the design materials in the library.

Our expectations from you:Must have a Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Fashion Apparel DesignMust have 5+ years of Fashion Design experience with Women's contemporary brandMust have strong design aesthetic, color sense, and conceptual skillsAbility to create flat sketches by hand and illustrations in CADMust be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, and WordBasic garment construction knowledge requiredComprehensive knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, color/print usage, graphics, embellishment layouts, and trim requiredFlexibility to adapt in a well to fast paced, rapidly changing work environmentMust be a team player, open to take direction, and able to work well under pressure, but also able to work solely with leadership.
