08.21.2024 Job Description PRODUCER (EWTN News Nightly)

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:As the Producer ,

you will work with the News Nightly editorial team to produce content and fulfill other responsibilities with a strict deadline to produce a quality daily newscast.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:Produces discussion segments on national/international news from a Catholic perspective, including writing/editing news scripts under tight deadlines.Communicate with the Sr. Producer and Host about guests, including extensive research and potential discussion questions.Pitch original content stories that would make good discussion or news segments based on current affairs.Choose videos, sound bites, and still photos to be included in the broadcast.Collaborate with pre- and post-production team members in order to produce editorially sound and visually appealing broadcasts that meet EWTN and Industry standards.Serves as backup support to provide coverage for other shows as needed.ABOUT YOU:

You have 3-5 years prior experience working in TV broadcast production/programming, print news, communications.You possess excellent broadcast writing & communication skills, including social media.You have a proven understanding of the Catholic faith and how it relates to the programming goals of the Network.You exhibit solid news judgement.You are fluent on wide variety of social media platforms.You are able to collaborate easily within a team, and work well independently.You are able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends/nights when required.You hold a bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE:
