Member Communications & Engagement Director

is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the communications and marketing strategies of the Foundation that inspire, inform, and captivate those living in or considering moving to our community. Also responsible for the creation and distribution of day-to-day communications and marketing efforts to ensure proper representation of the Foundation’s culture and brand. Responsibilities include both internal and external communications and marketing through the distribution of written, digital, and visual content.Reporting StructureReports to the Membership & Lifestyle DirectorCompensationThe compensation for the

will be commensurate with experience, and will include an annual bonus opportunity, company-paid disability and life insurance benefits, and a generous PTO.RequirementsEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with the COO, Department Heads, Club Committees, and the Board to develop and implement consistent and compelling communication and marketing strategies.Defines and implements the process for the development, review, and distribution of all internal and external communications and the channels of distribution (website, social media, digital signage, emails, texts, notifications, etc.).Composes and/or edits all Foundation publications and is responsible for the design and timely distribution of all communication materials.Creates and compiles member communications and branded marketing materials including, but not limited to, the weekly Quail West Living newsletter, event flyers, prospective member brochures, annual golf handbook, annual printed club calendar, annual report, magazine ads, and blog formatting.Plans, promotes, and generates enthusiasm and interest for Club activities and special events through the design of promotional materials and distribution to Members through various channels.Educates members on communication tools including functionality and accessibility.Oversees the Foundation’s photography and videography; both internal and freelance.Works with Department Heads to ensure the maintenance of all Foundation content, including optimization of communication channels and ensuring that the website is relevant and current.Establishes and oversees the maintenance of social media accounts.Supervises the day-to-day activities of the Activities Coordinator.Assists with Member requests relating to IT support on the website and app use.Maintain or establish tools for member education, input, and feedback including targeted surveys.Provides support to the Membership & Lifestyle department in engaging the membership and creating a sense of community through culture creation.Performs other duties as directed by the Membership & Lifestyle Director.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesComputer:

Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Shutterstock, Animoto, Canva, and Dropbox. Preferred applications can be negotiated at the time of hire.Language:

Ability to write in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to drive understanding, excitement, participation, and ultimately culture for both members and employees. Possess exceptional editing and proofreading skills.Mathematics : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Handles constructive feedback and input from department heads.Other:Ability to present creative ideas, designs, and concepts.Ability to follow company vision and direction and comply with all rules and regulations as stated whether verbal or written.Ability to skillfully create business documents.Project Management skillsPossess strong organizational, written, and time management skills.Exhibit professionalism and leadership qualities through own self-actions.Must be compliant with and actively support a drug-free workplace.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or equivalent degree with experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a club setting.5+ years of professional experience in marketing/communications.Must possess exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.Must have strong graphic design skills with software experience in Adobe InDesign, Canva, Photoshop, and Acrobat.Experience in developing marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, menus, email templates, and other types of communications.Experience with website development and maintenance; Clubessential knowledge is a plus.Drone experience and license is a plus, not a requirement.Candidate should be deadline-driven and highly motivated to work in a timely manner.
