Forever, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing, is seeking an experienced, creative, and enthusiastic Marketing & Publicity Manager or Senior Marketing & Publicity Manager (level and salary commiserate on experience and level) to join a results-driven and innovative team.

This is a hybrid marketing & publicity role; the right candidate will understand these areas of expertise are all about knowing your audience. Forever is looking to welcome a Sr/Marketing & Publicity Manager who has experience strategizing and executing highly commercial fiction campaigns with proven success, a deep understanding of ever-changing media and social media landscapes, and a passion for creating content for social media platforms and engaging with the book community online and at in-person events.

Each book tells its own story and so does every campaign; this role will include a combination of working as the lead marketer on multi-person book campaigns as well as some solo work that will encompass media and event outreach. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take the next step as a leader on a publishing team with the opportunity to mentor colleagues and grow their holistic marketing skillset by having a voice in brand strategy.

The role is NYC based and reports into the Director of Marketing and Publicity. HBG's current hybrid working model is two set days in the office per week.How to Apply:

We ask for a cover letter so that we can understand how your skills or experience can apply to our open role.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead planning and execution of campaigns for various Forever titles, ranging from brand authors to debuts.Lead strategy and execution of Forever’s email marketing program.Work closely with Digital Advertising Manager and HBG’s Central Marketing Team.Advise authors on social media presence and building their book community.Develop a variety of content for campaigns, including copy for sell sheets for accounts, copy/assets for social media/advertising, and other marketing materials.Developing, researching, and maintaining strong relationships with media contacts, book community, booksellers, and internal stakeholders.Regularly present at divisional status meetings and actively participate in imprint meetings; collaborate on event/convention planning.Consultation and research for potential acquisitions.Manage budget for assigned titles.Attentive communication with authors, agents, and editors.Requirements:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:Passion for books and readers; curiosity that drives you to investigate new promotional opportunities.5+ years of relevant marketing, sales, or publicity experience.College degree preferred.Team player with understanding of bridging organic and paid marketing efforts for best results.Great written and in-person communication habits who understands the importance of brand voice.Experience on social media platforms (especially Instagram & TikTok) and openness to learning new technology.Ability to transition between innovative brainstorming to strategic action.Aptitude for thriving in a work environment that is fast-paced and always evolving.Bonus: a willingness to be on camera, a love of photography and Canva, and experience with Wordpress or Braze.As a leading book publisher, we believe that including and representing diverse voices in all aspects of our business is fundamental to what we do.
