Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa company, is seeking a VP of Sales & Marketing who will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Memphis, TN. The VP will hold broad and extensive knowledge related to the utility structures industry. The successful VP will drive and execute the sales & marketing strategies for the Business Unit. Additionally, the successful VP will mentor and coach regional, quotations and marketing teams to ensure quotas and goals are met.

What You’ll Do

Develop growth strategies and plans for the business unitDevelop value propositions that differentiate business unit from competitorsEvaluate customer activity and preferences to properly develop and direct sales effortsDevelop market position by locating, creating, defining, and closing business relationshipsPartner with the operations and logistics teams to develop a sales growth strategyMotivate and provide leadership to the sales team, marketing team and quotations team to grow overall sales volume and ensure quotas are metPrepare and analyze monthly market sales reports to help project sales and determine future targetsDevelop long term sales goals by meeting with leadership to understand the priorities and business strategiesLead the marketing team to promote, enhance and develop existing and new productsWhat You’ll Need

Minimum of 15 years of technical sales and/or business development / marketing experience in the utility or related industryBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferredBroad knowledge of Utility Structures within the infrastructure / manufacturing industry requiredStrong financial acumen; experience modeling forecasts and establishing pricing structuresProven ability to negotiate and close sales opportunitiesAbility to analyze and compare technical data and specificationsSales management experience: ability to coach and mentor other sales professionalsProficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to present to small and large groups with confidenceGood organizational and time management skillsExcellent motivational skills to organize their sales team to successAbility to maintain current knowledge of market conditions and competitionKnowledge and use of CRM software, such as com is requiredAbility to travel up to 30%-50% (US and MEX)
